Capsized tourist boat in Quang Ninh towed ashore, death toll rises to 38
(VOVWORLD) - The tourist boat that capsized in Ha Long Bay, Quang Ninh Province on Saturday has been towed ashore, with the bodies of three crew members found inside, raising the death toll to 38.

The Vinh Xanh 58 (Wonder Sea), carrying 53 people - 48 tourists and five crew members - overturned at 1:45 p.m. near Ti Top Island after being caught in a sudden thunderstorm. All the tourists were Vietnamese, including several children.
Authorities have confirmed 37 fatalities. Eleven people were rescued, while five remain missing.
Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha has been on-site since Saturday to oversee the rescue operations.
Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has ordered a comprehensive review of all maritime safety procedures and called for immediate measures to address shortcomings and ensure absolute safety for all vessels operating in the region.
