Russia to assess signals from US to formulate its position on Ukraine peace plan

(VOVWORLD) -Russian President Vladimir Putin's aide said on Sunday that following talks by the Russian President's Special Envoy for Foreign Economic and Investment Cooperation Kirill Dmitriev in Miami, Russia will assess signals from the US to determine which proposals in the peace plan with Ukraine are acceptable and which are not.

Yuri Ushakov added it's unlikely that most of the peace plan proposals will be suitable for the Russian side. Most of the proposals put forward in the negotiations with the US originated from Ukraine and Europe, and according to the Kremlin representative, these proposals will not be constructive.

Ushakov also said Russia will remain steadfast in its positions discussed in Alaska last August and in other meetings with the US.
