China says to produce 610 COVID-19 vaccine doses this year
(VOVWORLD) - China's COVID-19 vaccine development programme is capable to produce over 600 million doses by the end of the year, with annual production capacity to reach at least one billion doses next year, an official from the Chinese Ministry of Science and Technology told reporters at a press conference Friday.

He said that 11 Chinese vaccines have now entered clinical trials, with four in Phase Three trials that are "progressing smoothly". He said they’ve seen that the vaccines' safety is good and there have been no serious adverse reactions.There are 59 vaccines currently under research in China in total.
In another development, Endo International of Ireland has announced that its subsidiary Par Sterile Products has entered into a non-exclusive agreement with the US’s Novavax to provide fill-finish manufacturing services at its plant in Rochester, Michigan for NVX-CoV2373, Novavax' COVID-19 vaccine candidate. Under the terms of the agreement, the initial product batches will be used in Novavax' pivotal Phase 3 clinical trial in the United States.
