China’s Hong Kong values ​​cooperation for mutual benefit with Vietnam

(VOVWORLD) - Deputy Prime Minister Tran Luu Quang on Thursday held talks with Chief Executive of China’s Hong Kong Special Administrative Region John Lee Ka-chiu, who is on an official visit to Vietnam from July 31 to August 2.

The two sides agreed to continue effectively exploiting the opportunities, potentials, and advantages of Vietnam and Hong Kong, China to further bilateral cooperation for mutual benefit.

Deputy Prime Minister Quang proposed both sides improve the quality and efficiency of cooperation in economics, trade, investment, finance, tourism, culture, education, science and technology, law enforcement, and citizen protection.

He welcomed Hong Kong corporations and businesses to enter the Vietnamese market, invest in high-quality projects, and increase import of Vietnamese goods. Mr. Quang also asked the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region to continue creating more favorable conditions for the Vietnamese community to live, study, and work there.

The Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region affirmed that they attach great importance to the mutually beneficial cooperation with Vietnam, and will promote cooperation in multiple fields.

At the end of the talks, the two leaders witnessed the exchange of cooperation documents in finance, trade, investment and aviation between Vietnamese and Hong Kong agencies and enterprises and co-chaired a meeting with businesses of the two sides.
