In a front-page article published on Thursday, the People's Daily quoted Lam as saying that Vietnam will continue to give top priority to developing relations with China, and strengthening strategic communication between the two Parties and countries.

It said the two leaders announced the official launch of the Year of Vietnam-China Humanistic Exchanges in 2025, delivered New Year greetings to each other, and wished the people of the two countries good luck and well-being.
