(VOVworld) – China’s 12th National People’s Congress concluded its second annual session on Thursday in Beijing with the participation of 2,906 delegations.

Speaking at a press conference after its close, Chinese Premier Li Keqiang said China with a population of more than 1.3 billion, needed a stable and peaceful domestic and international environment to assure the development of its people.

He said countries needed to respect each other and work together to expand their mutual interests and development, minimize differences, and avoid disputes. It was the aspiration of Chinese people and neighboring countries. 

Regarding Sino-US relations, Mr. Li affirmed that the common interests of the two countries were greater than their differences.

Premier Li said Chinese and EU enterprises should enhance investment, especially when the bilateral investment agreement is implemented.
