VOV receives donation to help people affected by Typhoon Yagi

(VOVWORLD) -200 million VND (more than 8,600 USD) was donated via VOV to people in northern Vietnam who are suffering loss and damage caused by Typhoon Yagi.

The donation was handed to VOV Vice President Vu Hai Quang by Ulrich Wagner, Deputy General Director of the RES Group Joint Stock Company on Wednesday in Hanoi.

Quang thanked RES Group and expressed hope that donor will go with the Voice of Vietnam to localities affected by the powerful storm and personally deliver gifts to the sufferers.

He said that VOV, as Vietnam’s main media agency with its responsibility for the community, is calling on Vietnamese people at home and abroad and international friends to join hands to share with the people's enormous losses. VOV's truck carrying food and other essentials will head to Yen Bai province for relief efforts on Thursday, according to VOV Vice President Quang.

Wagner said he sympathizes with the sufferings of people in many northern provinces and cities. He thanked VOV for helping to deliver the company's donation to people affected by Typhoon Yagi.
