In her inauguration speech, Sheinbaum said she came to power accompanied by all of the women who have struggled in anonymity to make their way in Mexico.

During her term, from now until 2030, she will focus on social welfare, poverty reduction, and economic stability, including limiting the price of gasoline and food, expanding cash hand-out programs for women and children, and supporting business investment, housing, and passenger rail construction.

Sheinbaum promised that the investments of domestic and foreign shareholders will be protected in Mexico and promised to construct "a predictable and investment-friendly policy and regulatory framework."

Claudia Sheinbaum, who was born in 1962, is a former environmental engineer. She served on the International Panel on Climate Change and was part of a team that received the Nobel Peace Prize in 2007. Prior to running for President, Sheinbaum served as Mayor of Mexico City from 2018 to 2023.
