Cuban National Assembly President concludes official visit to Vietnam

(VOVWORLD) -President of the National Assembly of the People's Power and President of the Council of State of Cuba Esteban Lazo Hernández and his entourage left Hanoi on Sunday evening, concluding their official visit to Vietnam at the invitation of Vietnamese National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man.

During his week long stay in Vietnam, Mr. Hernández co-chaired the second meeting of the Vietnam-Cuba Inter-Parliamentary Cooperation Committee.

In Hanoi, the Cuban National Assembly President laid a wreath and visited President Ho Chi Minh's Mausoleum; laid a wreath at the Monument to Heroes and Martyrs; and laid a wreath at the statue of National Hero Jose Marti at Tao Dan Flower Garden.

He met with Party General Secretary To Lam, President Luong Cuong and Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh as well as held talks with National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man.

During his visit to Vietnam, the Cuban top legislator worked with leaders of Ho Chi Minh city and Hung Yen province and visited the Vietnam Military History Museum.
