During a talk on Wednesday, Macron said the two countries will co-chair a conference on a two-state solution, aimed at "helping revive a political perspective for both Israelis and Palestinians".
The ceasefire, which had been in effect since January, has been disrupted by Israeli attacks in the Gaza Strip.
At least 48 Palestinians were killed in attacks on Wednesday, according to Gaza health authorities, escalating tensions in the region.
Airstrikes on Tuesday had killed more than 400 Palestinians, marking one of the deadliest attacks since the conflict began in October 2023.
