(VOVworld) – Da Nang city needs to further focus on developing marine economy, building and managing coastal borders.

This was agreed at a conference to implement this year’s tasks on Friday in Da nang. Local authorities have kept people informed of the United Nations Convention of the Law of the Sea 1992 and National Border Law. The city also completed the construction of Son Tra port and upgraded dykes in Han river. Duong De Dung, commander of the Border Guard in Da Nang City said: " Ministries, sectors and localities need to focus on building infrastructure synchronously for developing marine economy while assuring national defence and security, closely attaching development of coastal border economy with sovereignty protection.  Main focus should be building stable politics, socio-economic and culture development in border areas".
