(VOVWORLD) - Da Nang city organized a special program on Wednesday to welcome its first domestic and international tourists in the new lunar year, the Year of the Snake.

Visitors were treated to art performances and lion and dragon dances, and received Tet gifts including conical hats, dried fruits and cakes.
"In 2025, we will focus on upgrading tourism products and services, such as beach resorts, MICE tourism, wedding tourism, and golf tourism. Another priority is promoting international flight routes," said Tan Van Vuong, Deputy Director of the Da Nang Department of Tourism.
The same day, Da Nang welcomed 800 American cruise passengers, who visited Linh Ung Son Tra Pagoda, the Cham Sculpture Museum, My Khe Beach, and explored the city on cyclo rides.
On the first day of the new lunar year, the Ha Long International Passenger Port in Quang Ninh province was filled with the sound of lion dance drums welcoming 500 tourists aboard the Silver Dawn cruise ship. The guests enjoyed a full-day experience exploring Ha Long Bay, local cuisine, and cultural attractions.
During the Lunar New Year holiday, Quang Ninh is expected to welcome thousands of international visitors, signaling a promising year ahead for the local tourism industry.
