At a working session in Hanoi on Thursday with the national steering committee on implementing the government action plan for social policies from 2012 to 2020, Mr. Dam said implementation of the policies should be prioritized to the poorest areas. Social security programs and policies of poverty reduction should be realized in line with market regulations, he added.

The most vulnerable people in society will receive more help from support policies, whose funding comes mainly from the social insurance fund, the health insurance fund, and the social welfare fund.
