(VOVworld) – Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc visited Xuan Loc prison in Dong Nai province on Sunday to examine amnesty activities there.

Among the prison’s 5000 prisoners, 525 have been granted amnesty and will be released soon. Deputy PM Phuc encouraged prisoners to abide by the prison’s regulations to soon have chances to reintegrate into the community and be good citizens in the future. He asked the local authorities to improve their education for and management of those granted amnesty to prevent them from recommitting crimes while reducing social discrimination against them.
