Deputy spokeswoman affirms Vietnam’s determination to fight illegal migration
(VOVWORLD) - Deputy spokeswoman of the Foreign Ministry Pham Thu Hang said Vietnam is determined to fight illegal migration, and human trafficking.

She said Vietnam is striving to achieve the targets of the Global Compact for Safe, Orderly and Regular Migration (GCM) under a plan issued by the Prime Minister in 2020 so as to create a transparent migration environment, protect migrants’ rights and legitimate interests, and prevent human trafficking.
Ms. Hang said Vietnam is cooperating with countries and organizations like INTERPOL to prevent, detect, investigate, and deal with illegal migration rings.
It is ready to coordinate with other countries to promptly resolve specific cases, ensure legal and safe migration, and prevent human trafficking, she noted.
