Ethnic cultural festival celebrates National Tourism Year 2022
(VOVWORLD) - Bac Tra My district in Quang Nam province hosted an ethnic cultural festival, which concluded on Tuesday to celebrate National Tourism Year 2022.

The opening ceremony began with a ritual procession of sacred objects performed by the village patriarchs representing ethnic groups in the district. That was followed by gong performances, folk dances, and music characteristic of the Ca Dong, Cor, Mo Nong, and Xe Dang ethnic groups.
The 2-day festival included a photo exhibit featuring Bac Tra My, the land of cinnamon trees, a trade fair with 33 booths displaying Tra My cinnamon products and other agricultural products, a re-creation of the daily lives of local ethnic people in five communal houses, a Neu pole procession, and a gong performance, recognized by UNESCO as a World Intangible Cultural Heritage.
