Top leader of Laos begins state visit to Vietnam

(VOVWORLD) - General Secretary of the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party (LPRP) Central Committee and President of Laos Thongloun Sisoulith, his spouse, and a high-ranking delegation of the Lao Party and State arrived in Hanoi on September 10 morning, starting a state visit to Vietnam from September 10-13.

The trip is made at the invitation of General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee and President To Lam and his spouse.

Head of the Party Central Committee's Commission for External Relations Le Hoai Trung said that the visit helps to enhance political trust between the two Parties and countries, consolidate the relationship between the General Secretaries, Presidents, and senior leaders of the two countries and promote bilateral relations in many aspects.

“On this occasion, the leaders of the two Parties and the two countries will exchange information on the situation of each Party and each country, discuss international situation, evaluate the cooperative results, and propose directions to improve the effectiveness of cooperation in the future to meet the interests of their people and the two Parties for peace, stability, cooperation, development in the region and the world.”
