(VOVworld) – The Vietnam Farmers’ Association and the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development on Sunday co-hosted a ceremony honoring excellent farm products in 2014.

The event aimed to encourage the production of high quality products, creativity, and cooperation between farmers, scientists, and businesspeople in farm production and distribution chains towards industrialization and modernization.
The organizing board selected 145 outstanding farm products which have been popular in the domestic and export markets. Deputy Prime Minister Vu Van Ninh addressed the event: “Enterprises and producers have to promote their creativity and the application of scientific advancements on producing high-valued agricultural products to gain the domestic market and penetrate foreign markets. Vietnam has signed free trade agreements with other countries which will generate both opportunities and challenges for Vietnamese enterprises.”
