Exciting celebrations of National Day

(VOVWORLD) - At 6am on Wednesday, in Hanoi’s Ba Dinh Square, the national flag was raised in a solemn ceremony witnessed by crowds of people. In early morning, people from all parts of the country came to visit President Ho Chi Minh's Mausoleum.

In downtown Hanoi, the streets have been flooded with the red flag of Vietnam, colorful banners and posters celebrating National Day.

A special art program themed "My country has never been so beautiful" took place on Tuesday evening, at the Hanoi Opera House, with the attendance of Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc. The program delivered passionate and deep feelings about the country and people through songs featuring luminous milestones of the nation, from the historic August 19, 1945, when a revolution to regain power was successful and September 2, 1945, the day President Ho Chi Minh read the Declaration of Independence for Vietnam.

An exhibition called "National flag, national anthem, national emblem: Vietnamese pride symbol" opened on Tuesday in Hanoi. The exhibition introduces nearly 200 documents, objects, and pictures selected from National Archives Center III and provided by the families of the late painter Bui Trang Chuoc and the late musician Van Cao and other collectors.
