“We completely reject these false opinions. The incident is an organized violation of the law, causing insecurity and disorder and will be handled in accordance with the law," the spokesperson said.

Hang added related information has been regularly provided by the Vietnamese Ministry of Public Security and published by the Vietnamese press. The case is still under investigation.

Speaking before the UN General Assembly in June about the terrorist incident in Dak Lak, Ambassador Dang Hoang Giang, Head of the Permanent Mission of Vietnam to the UN, suggested that countries and international organizations work with Vietnam in investigating and preventing similar actions from recurrence in the future.

Responding a news report that Japan will soon begin releasing treated radioactive water into the ocean, which has triggered objections by Northeast Asian neighbors and the Pacific island countries, the spokeswoman said that a country bordering the ocean Vietnam holds that each country must be responsible for ensuring nuclear safety and security, while cooperating closely with the international community for information transparency.

“Vietnam holds that the responsibility for ensuring nuclear safety and security belongs to the country using atomic energy and requests that there should be close, transparent international cooperation in information sharing and responsible behavior in accordance with international law in the event of an accident.”

“Vietnam also upholds the maintenance of peace and stability in the region, the protection of the marine environment and marine resources in accordance with international law, the 1982 United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea and other relevant regulations of the International Atomic Energy Agency.”

Responding to a reporter's question that the company that organizes the music night "Blackpink" posted a nine-dash line map on its website and the movie “Barbie" was banned for the same reason, Hang reiterated that Vietnam's position on the nine-dash line claim is clear and consistent.

The promotion and use of products and publications with the nine-dash line in Vietnam is a violation of Vietnam's regulations and is not acceptable, she said.
