In an interview with a Voice of Vietnam reporter in Egypt on Tuesday, General Secretary of the Egyptian Communist Party Salah Adly said: “Over the past 80 years, Vietnam has made remarkable progress, from a war-torn country to an active and responsible member of the international community. Today, Vietnam plays a pivotal role in ASEAN and participates extensively in many regional and global cooperation mechanisms. Vietnam is currently considered by international friends as a reliable partner, a responsible member, a peace-loving country, who is also very determined to protect its legitimate interests.”

Vietnam has deeply integrated into the international community without sacrificing independence and sovereignty, and always puts national interests first, General Secretary Salah Adly said, calling it the mettle and foundation for Vietnam to gain more confidence.

Argentine researcher Gastón Fiorda said that Vietnam is completing the construction of a more effective State, aiming at short-term and medium-term goals. He praised the orientation of strongly attracting private capital and large investments, while adjusting the development model to a high-middle-income country, advancing to the group of developed countries. Amid global complexity and the impactful digital technology, Fiorda admired the Vietnamese spirit of "self-reliance, self-confidence, and national pride", believing that Vietnam will overcome all challenges and step into the new era steadily.

Dr. Eng Kok Thay, Secretary of State of the Royal Cambodian Cabinet Office, a political and historical analyst, said that Vietnam's international integration is being bolstered  and this is a solid foundation for Vietnam to enter a new era.

Enzo Sim Hong Chun from Malaysia’s Penang Institute commented that Vietnam has skillfully balanced relations with major powers. Vietnam is one of the fastest growing economies in the world and is actively contributing to world peace through joining in UN peacekeeping missions in war-torn South Sudan and the Central African Republic.

Vietnam’s experience shows how a country once scarred by war can become a source of inspiration for global peace and development, said the Malaysian expert. Its resilience, independence and contributions to international stability are achievements that the world should value and learn from.
