(VOVWORLD) - Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh urged the construction sector to strive for double-digit growth next year, driven primarily by green and digital growth.

Speaking at a conference reviewing the Ministry of Construction’s performance in 2025 and outlining tasks for 2026, the PM said the sector must ensure sound institutions, seamless infrastructure, smart governance, practical and appropriate approaches, and effective coordination.
He called on the Ministry to make breakthroughs in mindset and vision; resource mobilization for key national projects; science and technology development, innovation, digital transformation, green transition, the circular economy, and the knowledge-based economy; and to complete one million social housing units by 2028, two years ahead of schedule.
The Prime Minister also urged breakthroughs in developing a more comprehensive and inclusive transport system and in addressing existing bottlenecks.
He set January 2026 as the deadline to select an investment model for the North-South high-speed railway.
