France wants reconciliation with US
(VOVWORLD) - France intends to restart cooperation with the United States following diplomatic tensions around the AUKUS security deal among the US, the UK, and Australia as Paris and Washington are involved in solving major global problems, cabinet spokesman Gabriel Attal said on Thursday.
He told the BFM TV channel that it is necessary to reestablish contacts with the US because both of them are working to resolve issues that are key to the planet, such as climate and the fight against terrorism in Sahel. France and the US should restore their trust, undermined by rows over the AUKUS deal, Attal said, affirming that the path will be long and demanding.
