The participants discussed gender gaps and problems in communication and in mobilizing people to engage in realizing socio-economic development goals and promoting gender equality.

Dang Thi Hoa, Acting Director of the Institute of Psychology of the Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences, said: “Religious dignitaries and prestigious people need to encourage children to pursue higher education, especially vocational training. We have ethnic language teaching programs for the locals, but most of the students are male. Religious dignitaries need to encourage more girls to participate so that they will be more self-confident and have more opportunities in life.”
