Government chief calls for large Saudi Arabian firm’s investment in Vietnam
(VOVWORLD) - Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has called on Saudi Aramco, the national oil company of Saudi Arabia, to invest in Vietnam's oil and gas sector, especially major petrochemical and refining projects.

Prime Minister Chinh hosted a reception in Riyadh, the capital city of Saudi Arabia, on Tuesday for Amin Al-Nasser, President and CEO of Saudi Aramco, one of the world’s largest companies in both assets and revenue, with last year’s revenue totaling close to 500 billion USD and total assets exceeding 660 billion USD.
Mr. Chinh called on Aramco to develop cooperation in trading oil, gas, and petrochemical products such as crude oil, liquefied petroleum gas, plastic pellets, and fertilizers.
Mr. Al-Nasser said he will continue to negotiate with Petrovietnam and soon send a working delegation to Vietnam to seek cooperation and investment opportunities.
Following the meeting, PM Chinh witnessed the signing of a memorandum of understanding on cooperation in oil and gas trading.
