Hanoi must maintain its top position in all aspects: Party leader

(VOVWORLD) -Party General Secretary To Lam on Monday assigned Hanoi with two major tasks. First is to rearrange the organizational apparatus in line with the two-tier urban government model, and second is to prepare well for Party congresses at various levels towards the 14th National Party Congress.
These will be key premises to steer Hanoi to develop sustainably, take the lead in innovation, and maintain its leading position as a "locomotive" in all aspects of the country, the Party leader said.

General Secretary Lam led a Party Central Committee delegation on a working visit and chaired a meeting with the Standing Board of the Hanoi Party Committee in Hanoi, where he stressed that while organizing the two-tier government, it’s more important to maintain internal solidarity and promote the pioneering and exemplary role of the cadres.
The Party chief pointed out personnel work as the key issue that determines success or failure, adding that the implementation must comply with regulations and procedures, putting the common interest above all.
