The procession will carry out a number of rituals, including an offering ceremony to the Village Genie, an ancestor worshiping ceremony, and the raising of the “Neu” bamboo pole at the Kim Ngan Communal House. Then artisans will demonstrate calligraphy and perform traditional folk music.
An exhibition of artworks themed "Spring Colors of the Year of the Snake 2025" and a collection of zodiac animals will be held at the Hoan Kiem Lake Cultural Information Centre at 2 Le Thai To Street from now until next month.
Next Saturday there will be demonstrations of carving, trimming, and arranging narcissus flowers at the Kim Ngan Communal House, and wrapping banh chung, square glutinous rice cakes, at the 22 Hang Buom Cultural and Arts Centre.
The highlight will be a New Year's Eve music concert to welcome the Lunar New Year at the pedestrian space around Hoan Kiem Lake.
