The city will decorate streets, public places and crossroads with a number of celebrative symbols and works. According to the city Department of Culture and Sports, the pedestrian streets around Hoan Kiem Lake will be decorated with fresh flowers, while decoration archways will be erected in Vo Nguyen Giap street. High-range and low-range firework shows will be organized in different areas of the city, while art performances will be held at public places in all 30 wards and districts. Hanoi will organise mobile film screenings in all districts and wards, especially in remote areas, industrial parks and export processing zones across the city. On February 16-17, or the 12th and 13th days of the first lunar month, a dragon boat racing festival will take place in West Lake.
