(VOVWORLD) -Hanoi Ao Dai Month 2024 began on Tuesday, celebrating the Vietnamese traditional dress and encouraging love, unity, and the protection of traditional culture.

At the launch, Pham Thi My Hoa, Vice Chairwoman of the Hanoi Women's Union, said, "during Hanoi Ao Dai Month, we encourage all city officials, employees, workers, and students to wear ao dai on Mondays and Fridays."
The organizers also urge participants to wear ao dai at important events and commemorative activities. This simple act helps us preserve, promote, and celebrate this traditional attire together, Hoa said.
Dat Viet Prolab Company Limited gave out 50 scholarships, and the Hanoi Ao Dai Heritage Club gave 50 ao dai to female high school students.
The event featured an ao dai collection by Nam Tuyen and a workshop on preserving and developing the traditional ao dai in the modern world.
