Immortal Regiment marches commemorate Victory Day worldwide
(VOVWORLD) - The Immortal Regiment marches by Russian diplomats and expats are taking place in more than 30 countries to preserve the truth about the Great Patriotic War Victory, said Russia's Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova on Wednesday.

They walked the streets of major cities holding portraits of their heroic ancestors who fought in the Great Patriotic War, an annual tradition that began in 2007 as part of Victory Day celebrations in Russia and abroad.
Around the world, Russia’s foreign missions, diplomats, and compatriots are holding commemorative events to honor the great generation of victors and keep alive the truth of their triumph over Fascism, Ms. Zakharova said.
