(VOVworld)- Officials from North and South Korea met Monday for the third time this month but again failed to find a way to reopen the Keasong joint industrial complex that was the last symbol of cooperation before its shutdown in April. South Korea’s Yonhap news agency reported that the talks failed due to disputes over how to resume operation of the Kaesong complex. During the talks, the South asked the North to take responsibility for damages South Korean companies suffered due to Pyongyang’s unilateral shutdown of Keasong in April and promise to prevent any future unilateral shutdown. Pyongyang blamed Seoul for the Keasong closure, saying it was due to military joint exercises between South Korea and the US.
