International community expresses concern over Israeli attack in Qatar
(VOVWORLD) - The UN General Assembly on Tuesday expressed concern over Israel's attack on the leadership of the Hamas Islamic Movement in Doha, Qatar, saying the attack was a flagrant violation of international law and the UN Charter, as well as the established principles of respect for the sovereignty of states and non-interference in their internal affairs.

The General Assembly stressed the need to respect the territories of states and ensure the safety and security of negotiators at all times, calling on Israel to immediately cease these hostile acts and hold it fully responsible for any consequences of this escalation. It called on the international community to take measures to protect civilians.
The White House said President Trump did not endorse Israel's airstrikes on Hamas in Qatar.
The United Arab Emirates expressed grave concern over the Israeli attack, calling it a threat to regional security and stability. The UAE called on the UN Security Council to implement necessary measures to restrain Israel. Other countries and international organizations have similarly condemned the attack.
