(VOVworld) - Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu approved the “immediate construction” on Wednesday of 300 housing units in the West Bank settlement of Beit El.

According to a statement from the Israeli Prime Minister’s office, after consultations, the immediate construction of 300 homes in Beit El has been authorized and planning for another 504 homes in annexed East Jerusalem has also been approved. The statement says the 300 units in the West Bank were promised three years ago following the demolition of other homes in the Beit El settlement.
