(VOVworld) - The Trade Negotiating Committee of the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership, (RCEP) released a statement on the first negotiation between ASEAN and its 6 partners on RCEP in Brunei.

Accordingly, officials of 10 ASEAN member countries and 6 Free Trade Agreement partners including Australia, China, India, Japan, South Korea, and New Zealand discuss details of RCEP from May 9 – 13 in order to finalize RCEP in late 2015. The statement said RCEP negotiations acknowledge ASEAN’s central role in supporting and contributing to economic integration, fair development, and cooperation among member countries.
