US readies 375 million USD arms aid package for Ukraine
(VOVWORLD) - The United States is preparing a 375 million USD military aid package for Ukraine, breaking a months-long trend towards smaller packages for Kyiv.

The aid package, expected to be announced next week, includes patrol boats, additional ammunition for high-mobility artillery rocket systems (HIMARS), 155 and 105 millimeter artillery ammunition, spare parts and other weapons, an anonymous official said.
The contents and size of the package could change in the coming days ahead of the president's expected signature.
The Pentagon announced in April that it would send 1 billion USD worth of weapons and equipment to Kyiv after the US Congress approved an additional funding package for Ukraine. However, since May, the US has not sent an aid package greater than 275 million USD using Presidential Drawdown Authority (PDA).
