(VOVworld) – President Truong Tan Sang attended a conference of the Supreme People’s Court on Tuesday in Hanoi to discuss its plans for this year.

President Sang asked the judicial sector to clarify its rights and responsibilities in accordance with the Constitution. He also called for greater efforts in judicial reform until 2020 as well as improved court prosecutions and training: “We should continue to improve the structure of the Supreme People’s Court. The jurisdiction and responsibility of each individual in the prosecution process should be clarified to ensure transparency, democracy and fairness. Fine tuning institutions and improving prosecution quality are important tasks of judicial reform, together with effectively implementing international treaties Vietnam has signed.”
