(VOVworld)-The northern province of Bac Ninh hosted a meeting on Sunday to mark the 100th birthday of late Party General Secretary Nguyen Van Cu.

Speaking at the ceremony, Party leader Nguyen Phu Trong praised the correct decision made by the late General Secretary in historical moment of the Vietnamese revolution. He urged the whole nation to learn from the bright example of the late General Secretary:“We must learn from his political will and intellectual and innovative thinking of General Secretary Nguyen Van Cu and place the Party interest in front of individual interest while ready to fight for the glorious career of the party and the nation. This could be done through Party building and rectification and eradicating corruption and building a strong party with a close link to the people.”

A memorial house in commemoration of Party General Secretary Nguyen Van Cu opened in his home village in Phu Khe commune, Tu Son district. An traditional art performance on his revolutionary career was organized on Saturday in Bac Ninh City .
