Various activities have taken place since early March to encourage people to save energy for Earth Hour 2025.

Nguyen Thanh Long, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade said that Earth Hour aims to raise awareness and encourage the efficient use of energy.

"Using electricity wisely is a key policy in Vietnam's energy development, contributing to a sustainable power system and national energy security," he said, adding that supporting Earth Hour is essential not only for individuals but also for businesses.

The Earth Hour 2025 launch ceremony on Saturday at Hanoi’s Hoan Kiem Lake will feature interactive spaces with participation from businesses and organizations in the energy and environmental sectors.

The Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union will host a running race and a special night event in support of Earth Hour 2025.

Vietnam first joined the Earth Hour campaign in 2009. Over the past 15 years, public awareness of energy conservation, environmental protection, and climate action has significantly increased.
