(VOVworld) – Performances by pianist Pho An My and string players last weekend wrapped up the 6 shows of the 2013 LUALA Spring Concert Services. On Saturday, the audience was treated to excerpts of folk music masterpieces in different genres such as Cheo opera, Tuong (classical opera), and Hue chanty. On Sunday, the audience heard classical string artists perform popular works by Bach, Strauss, and Vivaldi. For the first time, they heard cai luong (southern opera) combined with symphonic music in a piece composed and performed by meritorious artist Dao Van Trung.

A special edition of the LUALA Concert will take place this Friday at Hanoi’s Ecopark urban township.
