Meta to invest in AI human resources in Vietnam
(VOVWORLD) - Meta is scheduled to expand the production of Quest 3S mixed reality devices in Vietnam, generating 1,000 jobs, and contributing millions of USD to the Vietnamese economy, said Nick Clegg, President of Global Affairs at Meta.

When he attended the Vietnam Innovation Day 2024 in Hanoi on Wednesday, Clegg told the press that the decision comes from the increasingly important role of Vietnam in Meta's production ecosystem.
Meta Vietnam is also expanding into AI innovation. It will soon pilot Meta AI in Vietnamese to reach users in the local language. AI for business on Messenger has been piloted in Vietnam since June 2024 and will be officially launched later this year. These programs aim to support Vietnamese businesses and developers to tap the potential of AI to grow and innovate.
Meta has cooperated with the University of Social Sciences and Humanities of the Vietnam National University Hanoi to open a training course on AI for students, scheduled in March 2025.
