(VOVworld) - More than 4700 soldiers from 10 countries on Monday participated in a solemn opening ceremony of the biggest NATO annual military exercise “Saber Strike 2014” at Adazi military base in Latvia, which lasts until June 20. This is the 4th time NATO has conducted Saber Strike. This year, it coincides with the host-nation exercise "Baltic Host 2014" and naval exercise "BALTOPS 2014" in Denmark and Sweden. According to the press agency of the Latvian Department of Defense, ground and air forces will take part involving 800 tanks, armored vehicles, and F/A-18 combat jets.
