Based on the Government’s development orientation for the Moc Bai Border Gate, Tay Ninh is formulating special mechanisms to turn Moc Bai Border Gate Economic Zone into a modern industrial–urban–service–logistics hub, connecting the economies of Vietnam and Cambodia.
Nguyen Van Thong, Deputy Head of the Tay Ninh Economic Zone Management Board, said: “Our aim is to develop Moc Bai into a regional logistics hub and an international trade gateway. By 2030, a 200 hectare logistics center will be formed, along with about 900 hectares of industrial land, which will expand to more than 3,000 hectares by 2045."
"A new urban area, services, trade, and social housing will also be developed according to a ‘green–smart–modern’ model. Five key sectors include port logistics connecting Cai Mep Port and Long Thanh Airport, border trade and services, high-tech industries, green and smart urban development, as well as tourism and high-tech agriculture.”
These policies aim to capitalize on Moc Bai Border Gate’s strategic location, attract investment, and enhance the province’s competitiveness. Tay Ninh is striving to complete the Ho Chi Minh City-Moc Bai Expressway, a vital route connecting the southern key economic region with Cambodia and ASEAN. This project is expected to make Moc Bai an “international logistics hub,” attract multinational corporations to build factories and distribution centers, promote tourism, trade, and services, and create thousands of jobs.
