The reform draws widespread attention and support from the public and is expected to enhance governance efficiency and pave the way for further national development.

In Thai Nguyen province, which merges former Bac Kan and Thai Nguyen provinces, residents are optimistic about further development thanks to coordinated infrastructure development and improved inter-regional transport.

Local residents in Thai Nguyen province said:
"I believe this change will lead to significant innovation across the country, especially in the collective economic sector. Cooperatives are hopeful about expanding markets, and further investment in science and technology."

"With the merger, transportation networks are stronger, travel becomes easier, and larger areas can now attract more investors. This will help improve our livelihoods and economic conditions."

In the newly expanded Lam Dong province, formed by merging the former Binh Thuan, Dak Nong, and Lam Dong, local residents view the restructuring as an opportunity to promote regional strengths and stimulate socio-economic growth.

Lam Dong is now the largest province nationwide and has the largest population in the south central coast and Central Highlands regions.

"Dak Nong has great tourism potential, that hasn’t been fully tapped. Binh Thuan is strong in coastal tourism, and Lam Dong is known for resort destinations. I hope the new province will combine these strengths to create jobs and increase income," said a local resident.

A man of the M'nong ethnic group said M'Nong people hope the merger will enhance regional growth and that provincial leaders will invest more in ethnic minority regions. “New expressways will make travel easier and improve trade."

In Dong Nai province, which merged with Binh Phuoc and Tay Ninh province, which merged with Long An, people are happy with improved public services:

"Previously, we had to go all the way to the district office for paperwork, which was far and time-consuming. Now we can do most procedures right at the commune level. It's quicker and easier."

"I hope the government will continue to reform and improve services to better serve the people, more efficiently and more directly, so we can save time and effort. Everyone is happy and optimistic."
