(VOVWORLD) -On the 80th anniversary of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2), the leaders of Malaysia, Brunei, Indonesia, the Philippines, Thailand, Singapore, Timor Leste, the Republic of Korea, the United States, Japan, New Zealand, Australia, France and the Secretary General of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) sent congratulatory letters and messages to the leaders of the Party, State and People of Vietnam.
In their congratulatory letters and messages, foreign leaders applauded Vietnam's socio-economic development achievements over the past 80 years and expressed their desire to cooperate more closely with Vietnam.
