NA Chairman underscores law amendments to serve political system streamlining
(VOVWORLD) - National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man underscored the substantial workload ahead in 2025 at the 41st session of the legislative body’s Standing Committee which convened in Hanoi on Monday.
In his opening speech, Mr. Man said top priorities in the first quarter will be an extraordinary session of the legislature at the end of February to amend and enact laws and resolutions critical for implementing Resolution 18 on streamlining the political system.
“We’ll focus on the extraordinary session scheduled for late February. This meeting will focus on completing and adopting the amendment of the laws and resolutions to serve the implementation of Resolution 18,” said top legislator Man.
Also on Monday, the Standing Committee looked into the NA's December 2024 report on public aspirations, gave opinions on the regulations detailing the organization of meetings between NA and People's Council deputies with voters, and gave feedback on the draft law on digital technology industry.
