(VOVWORLD) - A gala night was held in Hanoi on December 20, as part of the second exchange program “Vietnam Coast Guard and Friends” in 2024, has delivered the message “Unity is strength”. Participants were law enforcement forces from Cambodia, China, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Thailand, and Vietnam and some international organizations.

At the gala night, Commander of the Vietnam Coast Guard Lieutenant General Le Quang Dao said the exchange program will contribute to bridging maritime law enforcement forces of seven countries in the region.
Mr. Dao said, “After today's exchange program, the maritime law enforcement forces of the countries understand each other better, are more united, more connected, and coordinate more closely with each other, especially in search and rescue at sea. By doing so, we will minimize damage to people, vehicles and equipment caused by natural disasters and accidents at sea, contributing to building a peaceful, stable, safe and developed regional sea."
"The maritime law enforcement forces of the seven countries are committed to truly be a solid shoulder, a reliable support for organizations and individuals to do legal business at sea,” he added.
