Mr. Man addressed the National Assembly Standing Committee’s first forum on supervision activities. He said “In the current implementation of the two-tier local government model, the National Assembly Standing Committee oversees laws, decrees, and circulars, to find out whether the promulgated laws are in line with the law; whether the decrees are consistent with the law; and whether the circulars are consistent with the decrees and laws. This issue that must be done regularly and suddenly to detect problems and promptly remove difficulties.”

In particular, the National Assembly Chairman added that the evolving socio-economic situation requires the revisions of laws, decrees, and circulars to suit the world and the domestic situation.

The one-day forum discussed two topics "The National Assembly's supervisory activities contribute to national socio-economic development" and "The National Assembly's supervisory activities contribute to the improvement of institutions, policies and laws".
