National Assembly Chairman attends AIPA-46, pays official visit to Malaysia
(VOVWORLD) - National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man, his spouse Nguyen Thi Thanh Nga, and a high-ranking Vietnamese delegation, arrived in Kuala Lumpur on Tuesday to attend the 46th General Assembly of the ASEAN Inter-Parliamentary Assembly (AIPA-46) and pay an official visit to Malaysia.

The Vietnamese top legislator is scheduled to attend the AIPA Executive Committee meeting and the opening ceremony, deliver an important speech at the First Plenary Session, and hold bilateral meetings with heads of AIPA member parliaments and partners.
This is the first official visit to Malaysia by a Vietnamese National Assembly Chairman since the two countries upgraded their relations to a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership in November last year.

The Vietnamese National Assembly and the Malaysian Parliament continue to maintain excellent cooperation bilaterally and multilaterally, regularly exchanging delegations and coordinating closely in regional and international inter-parliamentary mechanisms such as the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU), the Asia-Pacific Parliamentary Forum (APPF), and AIPA.
During the visit, Chairman Man will meet with senior Malaysian leaders, and embassy staff and representatives of the Vietnamese community in Malaysia.
