(VOVworld) – The National Assembly Standing Committee discussed revisions to the Civil Code on Tuesday. Delegates agreed on areas subject to adjustments, including the responsibilities of authorized agencies in the protection of civil rights, time for establishing ownership rights, and the consequences for illegal civil transactions. The revised draft says that interest rates on loan agreements should not be allowed to exceed 200% of the rates set by the State Bank of Vietnam. Delegates also said that the Code should recognize the right to gender transformation as it is also a human right.
