National Assembly Standing Committee’s 46th session closes

(VOVworld) – The National Assembly Standing Committee’s 46th session closed in Hanoi on Wednesday. Deputies reviewed the performance of the last National Assembly tenure, which approved a new Constitution and created a legal framework for the development of a socialist-oriented market economy. National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung said the achievements of the 13th National Assembly could be greatly attributed to the people’s support: “The National Assembly has fulfilled its tasks thanks to the people’s support. Social consensus will create strengths.”

Earlier, deputies discussed preparations for the last session of the 13th National Assembly, which will open on March 21. The meeting will approve 7 draft laws, review socio-economic development over the last 5 years, and discuss development and land use plans until 2020. Deputies will review the performances of the National Assembly, National Assembly agencies, the head of the State Audit, the President, the government, the Prime Minister, the Supreme People’s Procuracy, and the Supreme People’s Court. They will also consider state personnel preparations.
